Oveta James
Born and raised in Hopkins, SC, Oveta was educated in the Richland
1 School District where she graduated from Lower Richland High School. Though there were times when she doubted what her future would look like, Oveta earned a full scholarship to Bethune-Cookman University. A journey that greatly contributed to the woman she is today.Upon the conclusion of her
matriculation at Bethune-Cookman, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Education, she went on to pursue her education at Regis University where she obtained a Master of Science in Criminology (MSCR).
Oveta developed a love for firearms at an early age. A love that emerged after watching her father prepare for many hunting trips, a time that was used to educate and explain what fouath gun was his set the to educate individuals on the importance of gun safety, South
Carolina gun laws.The priority of Shots Fired SC is to provide training with compassion, integrity, and dignity. With hopes that it will contribute to the prevention of anymore lives being lost due to improper gun practices and usages.
